Our Services

Information Workshops

Several times a year, we offer a workshop which addresses the needs of caregivers, supporting them in their tasks and in their real-life experiences. Different topics may be raised; for example, how to deal with emotional intelligence, stress management, preparation of income tax returns. Various other topics may be offered in collaboration with our partners which include the Alzheimer Society, Coop Pays des Vergers and many others. Do not hesitate to make suggestions or requests by e-mail at intervenant@rsabm.ca or by calling us 450-263-4236.

Prevention of Exhaustion Workshops

These workshops are led by our counselor who can provide the caregivers with relevant information and resources to prevent exhaustion.

“Coffee break”

This is an opportunity to meet and support others who share the same challenges as caregivers in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. These get-togethers are sometimes followed by thought provoking movies relevant to the realities lived by caregivers.

Moments of Relaxation

With the help of a team of specialized volunteers, we offer activities and/or care which will help you relax and feel well. Watch our calendar of activities in our Newsletter to know what is coming!

Psychosocial Support

BMCSG’s team is always available to welcome you, to listen to you, to offer you professional support and to answer your questions. You can also benefit from our library and our various documents which we invite you to pursue.

Drop-in Service (Fridays from 1 to 5 p.m.)

Tuesdays from 12h30 to 16h30 or Fridays 12h30 to 16h30, for ages 65 and up.

Thanks to the joint efforts of the CSSS La Pommeraie, attendants from the Coopérative de soutien à domicile du Pays des Vergers, and BMCSG volunteers, a drop-in service is available. This provides a family member needing care with the opportunity to spend time with a volunteer, enabling the caregiver to relax knowing that their loved one is being well looked after. A variety of activities are offered to the family members needing care. Come and see us on Friday afternoons for a half-day break!

Respite – Support

We have a trained team of volunteers who go free of charge to the homes of caregivers to provide a break and ensure care while the caregiver takes time off. Caregivers may take advantage of this service for a few hours each week.

Many thanks to our superb volunteers!
