Planned Giving

A planned gift is a donation that requires financial, tax or estate planning.

The Brome-Missisquoi Caregiver Support Group accepts the following planned gifts:

  • Immediate planned gifts: donation of securities, donation of real estate, donation of a life insurance policy.
  • Future or deferred planned gifts: donation in a will, life insurance policy donation, charitable annuity, charitable trust.

Why make a planned gift?

  • Tax benefits;
  • To ensure the sustainability of the BMCSG;
  • To support the cause of caregivers;
  • To honour the memory of a loved one;
  • To make a difference in the community;
  • To highlight your values through your legacy.

What are the steps?

  1. Consider your personal, family and tax situation.
  2. Consult a professional to discuss and for guidance in the appropriate option for you (a financial advisor or planner, accountant, tax specialist, notary, lawyer).
  3. Inform your loved ones and the recipient organization if you wish.
