Sixteen years after the creation of the BMCSG, the Maison Gilles-Carle Brome-Missisquoi opened its doors in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>The peaceful atmosphere at the Maison Gilles-Carle Brome-Missisquoi allows loved ones to engage in activities while being cared for by our dedicated team of staff and volunteers. Arrivals start at 8:30 am and departures must be made before 4:30 pm. The cost is $30 for one day and $20 for half a day.<\/p>\n<p>Meals and snacks are included.<\/p>\n<h4>\n\t\t\tEvening Respite\t<\/h4>\n\t<p>Our evening respite services are available 7 days a week upon <strong>reservation<\/strong>. Arrivals begin at 4:30 pm. The fee is $20 per evening and includes a meal and snacks.<\/p>\n<h4>\n\t\t\tOvernight Respite\t<\/h4>\n\t<p>Our overnight respite services are available 24 hours a day\/7 days a week for stays of one to several consecutive nights, depending on needs. <strong>Reservations must be made in advance<\/strong>. Arrivals and departures are at 4:30 pm. For all respite services, a file is opened by our Caregiver Support Counsellors with the caregiver and the person being cared for. Relationships are established between our respite coordinator and your pivot counsellor from the CIUSSS. This liaison is essential to ensure the quality and continuity of care and services. Care provided at Maison Gilles-Carle de Brome-Missisquoi follows Bill 90 under an agreement with the CIUSSS.<\/p>\n<p>Effective November 1st, 2021, <strong>a cancellation fee will be applied to respite services<\/strong> (day and\/or overnight) if the cancellation is made less than 48 business hours before the stay. The fees charged will reflect the reserved respite services.<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\t\tAdmission criteria for respite services\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>The person cared for must meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Can do transfers alone or with the help of a person;<\/li>\n<li>If oxygen is required, must have the equipment and be able to adjust it;<\/li>\n<li>Does not wander or run away;<\/li>\n<li>Does not demonstrate violence or aggressiveness;<\/li>\n<li>Can be supported in a 1:4 or 1:6 ratio;<\/li>\n<li>Priority is given to home caregivers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rsabm.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/daisies-712892_640.jpg\" alt=\"T\u00e9moignage\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"471\" width=\"640\" title=\"T\u00e9moignage\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\" loading='lazy' \/>\n\t<p><em>&#8220;After eight years of being a loving, devoted, dedicated, tireless caregiver, my deep love for my spouse remains intact. However, my energy, patience and multitasking skills had dramatically decayed, so I decided it was time to reach for help.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I found Maison Gilles-Carle Brome-Missisquoi by talking to my psychosocial worker who diligently helped me find a place so I could have well deserved respite.
